Some friends and I met up at an expat bar where they were showing the CNN coverage of the 2012 elections. We pretty much all had to work in the morning but we spent a few hours hanging out, coloring in maps of the US, as to make our predictions about who would win which states. I met a few new Americans with whom we joked about how they really dissected the stats [45% of christian women with children who work full time jobs say they would vote for candidate x for example] and shared some nachos while anxiously waiting for Florida to prove they can count. CNN zoomed right in on Hillsborough county, which i thought was pretty cool to see from all the way in Spain. I stayed until about 2 am. and had to wait until the morning to find out that Obama would be our president for four more years.
